Warm bubbles, a nice breeze, and the sun shining down - Spring is blooming and it’s the perfect weather for a hot tub dip. To ensure your hot tub is spring-ready and you have the most relaxing experience, there are some checks you can do.
WATER AND PLUMBING
LEAKS: Inspect the hot tub's plumbing for any visible signs of damage or leaks. This includes drain valves, jets, and pipes.
PURGING WATER: For crystal clear water to start the season, purge your water using Spa Flush. Read more on that HERE.
WATER LEVELS: Check the water level and add more water if necessary. Make sure the water level is halfway up the filter housing.
SPA SHOCK: Consider adding SPA SHOCK to the water to help break down any organic matter that may have accumulated.*
*This does not replace the use of Chlorine.
FILTERS AND SPA
FILTRATION: Remove your filter housing cover and clean or replace your hot tub filters if needed. A dirty filter can restrict water flow, reduce sanitization efforts (as our anti-microbial filters work best in the first 4 months of use), and make the system work harder.
PUMPS: Run the hot tub pump and circulation system for a few minutes to ensure everything is working properly. If you hear irregular noises, an error message pops up, or your hot tub’s STATUS PRO indicator is red, please contact our customer care team by calling 1-877-909-7727 or logging a service ticket HERE.
COVERS
WEAR AND TEAR: Check the hot tub cover for any damage or wear and tear. If it's damaged, it may need to be repaired or replaced as it will not retain the heat as well and may allow debris to get in.
COVER GUARD: Consider adding a COVER GUARD for spring. Cover Guards shield your hot tub cover from pollen, heavy rain, and UV damage to optimize its lifetime.
By performing these basic checks and maintenance tasks, you can ensure your hot tub is ready for use and will provide you with a relaxing and enjoyable experience throughout the spring season.
